I’m likely no longer installing 52” springs on the burb, but I have a set of these mounts. I’m considering installing them to make it easier to move the front spring forward. I have a set of ORDs front upper shackle hanger to install at the same time.

My question is this.....will there be any ride height change with stock length springs and b52 mounts? As the Wifey knows, every inch counts.

Thanks
Tom

Not really. Bolt locations relative to the ground are pretty much the same as stock. Just forward and backward movement can change.

Thanks. That’s what I figured. Would have solved a problem for me if it raised the truck an inch.

I talked to Kurt at DIY4X about those front spring hangers of his, and he told me that stock leaf springs are too wide to fit into those. He told me that aftermarket lift leaf springs are narrow enough to fit, but you have to grind down some of the bushing for them to fit.

I should have been more specific. I have 4” ORD springs in stock length. Just checked, they fit fine.

You could run into a shackle angle issue if you push the leafs to far forward. You could also move the rear hanger forward.

That was the plan. I was going to move the front a bolt hole or two and then match that with the rear. I’ve also got adjustable ubolt kit, so I could fine tune with that.

Am I going to be wasting my time? I thought the consensus was a bit forward all around was better?

Improved approach angle along with increased firewall clearance for bigger tires. You have crossover steering right?

Need to build a draglink and install, but it’s in my buckets of parts in the garage.

I did this on the front of mine. Wasn't my first intention but that is how It ended up...

I put the front eye in the 3rd hole back on the B-52 kit and moved the shackle hanger forward on the frame, using one of the existing rivet holes as a guide and drilled three new holes plus the big bushing pass through hole. Passenger side has fuel lines and brake lins really close be careful.
