Longer can equal a more flexible spring allowing for improved suspension travel and articulation.

so the B 52"s allow you to put rear springs up front

Right and depending on which position you use, you can use up to a 56" spring (maybe longer but I haven't seen it).

your pretty much going to have to get crossover, stock steering wont work when your flexing

Having factory parts under your rig is nice if you ever have breakage. They are cheap and easy to find/replace.
