Anybody seen B&M hubs before? I have a set on my 79 Blazer. They look like they are selectro hubs. The kind that the whole end turns. I would like to find some info on them and see if I can rebuild them. They look like they might be Selectro hubs with B&M on them, if thats the case I probably rebuild them.

Thanks

I think you need atleast 15 posts to be able to post a pic. It's an anti spam thing.
You got three post left. Eventhough I hate to say it. Pad till you can post a picture. We will forgive you this time.:haha:

Looks like a selectro hub. I bet they made the hubs for B&M.
I wonder when these hubs where made?
So, is there anything wrong with these hub?

That particular hub in the photo has lost the "click" I had some problems in the snow this year and think that this is the problem child. When I get the time, I am going to take it apart and see whats up. Just wanted to make sure I can get parts for it. As far as when it was made, I am thinking in the early 80's. This Blazer had a bunch of work done on it in the early 80's. All of the parts on it are old school, Edelbrock intake, old school comp cam sticker, and yes it does have a bigger cam in it etc. It sat for awhile and it only has 86000 miles on it.

And yes I agree they were probably made by Selectro. I am going to contact them next week and see what they say.

As with rebuild them newer selectro parts, I don't know.
If selectro is anything like Warns, they up grade the inside but the outside looks the same. I have encounterd three different style warn premiums that fit the internal style hubs. The hubs look the same on outside, but the inside is completely different.

Thats kinda what I would like to do. I like the unique old school parts. Kinda weird that way. I have searched the web for this and seem to be the only one with them (I know there has to be someone out there with these)

Are the newer Selectro hubs any good? I love the idea..

Right now my Superwinch Hubs are keeping me happy with easy 1/4 turn locking.. and they seem to always lock right in, versus the Warns that would occasionally need the axle shaft spun a bit to fully engage(at least mine did that).

I have the Selectro external hubs for my Dodge D60. I will rebuild them if I can find the "kit" to do so. I believe they are now owned by Mile Marker. I haven't been able to find much on them yet!

Here are mine, they need new o-rings and gaskets, and maybe more. I will be cleaning them up in the next week or so.

I have those, and I have selectro hubs and from what i was able to gather is that B&M for a while had selectro hubs made with their name on the outer dial, and so did a few other companies, but they are all the same.
I love them they are so easy to turn even with muddy hands or in the snow with a glove on.
:D

My selectro's are in good shape but my B&M's need rebuilding, the bronze bushings inside are worn out and I found that some parts from Warn hubs will interchange.
I will confirm soon if I find parts, in the mean time I will watch this thread for updates on a source for parts.

Same here! I love them. I will get a hold of selectro or milemarker to see if I can rebuild them.
