I just got a B&M light truck megashifter for christmas. Tell me what you guys think about the ratcheting shifters in our trucks. How mAny of you have them?
Thanks'
Adam

I've used the Mega-shifter in cars, but the Star-shifter might be better in a 4wd truck. I prefer the Star-shifter myself. (Note; looks the same as the Mega-shifter.)

i just put one in my 88. had alittle trouble adjusting it but i got it squared away. i like it, sometimes the revers lock out feature gets annoyting when your trying to rock back and forth to get out of something or make a multi point turn. also it ratchets into neutral so if you own a 3 speed make sure you count your shifts or youll go into neutral. also make sure you put the handle on right. mine was barely off and it crossthreaded real easily.

I will I just need to get my truck back from the shop with my NEW TH350.
Thanks
Adam

i'm getting one for mine hopefully. when i get money again. Let me know how you like it!

I love mine, the days of pounding through the gears with a rachet shifter and a big block with strait headers were fun! its just a darn shame that the local cops would not be to happy if I kept that set up..

Ok I know how to hook everything up but the backup light and neutral safty switches. How do I wire those bad boys up?
Thanks
Adam

it tells you in the book. i never wired mine up since its a trail only rig and i know to start it only when in park or neutral. i think you just have to extend the leads from the wires on the column to the switches then adjust the switches acordingly.
