I know that its probably a obvious question but i have one so if anyonw can answer let me know, does a b and m shifter only replace a manual truck or an automatic also, and what is the bennifts of having one, and also a MSD distributer better and why is it just because its for higher performance vehicals.? thanks for the patience with this question guys...
 
do you put in a bm shiftr so you dont shif on your colum any more?

Yep. Sometimes for looks, sometimes to take care of shifting after a conversion and some hardcore guys find the mechanical stock linkage binds up under extreme chassis twist, those shifters are cable operated so get around this.
