is this thing easy to install?? do i need to pull the transmission out? or could i install it with everything in place?

one more thing does it need any additional equipment?

This is a simple bolt-on installation. I'm not sure if you'd be able to install this with your transmission in place, youd need enough room between the trans and the floor pan to do this. Some chevys had a removable transmission hump which would make installation very easy.

This shifter kit comes with everything needed to change over from a factory setup. All you need to purchase is the appropriate shifter boot.
