so i scored this free pallet jack from a friend were he works . they wouldnt take it back for scrap so he said screw it and wanted it gone . he texted me and i went right down for it .
she would barley pump up with zero load and would drop fast . wasnt leaking any fluid but was damp all over from ozzing out .
i ordered a master re-build kit off ebay for 55.00 shipped and spent 2 hr's tonight for my first ever hydro pump rebuild job . the main lift piston seal was in about 20 chunks in the bottom of the pump body oil cavity . she was just worn out and fell apart .
no pics of the job but it was fairly stright forward other than i sure could have used a pair of lonnnng reach snap ring plyers but i got it anyway .
here is the unit and then the test was picking the rear end / back end of a 1973 mustang off the shop floor .
should do me good around here for some jobs coming up soon . need to get a pair of wheels for the jack end . there cracked bad . also has a broken grease zerk in a pin .
