I've ran B52's & 52" springs up front before but got ahead of myself (didn't tale steering geometry into account)... never finished that project either.

So I know that 52's have an offset center bolt and mounted short side forward will move the front axle 2" to the front.

Funds aren't available for crossover/ hydro asst./ limit straps/ extended bump stops at the moment but I'd still like to throw some 52's under the front for now and maintain the stock axle position or close to it. Once funds free up for all the cool guy stuff I can just swap the springs back around.

Is this a matter of mounting the leaf springs long side forward but move the 52's up further forward in the B52's or would an EZ-Inch be needed?

I drew it up on a piece of paper and if I move the 52's up in the B52's its gonna start screwing with shackle angle possibly putting the shackle angle the exact opposite of what it should be... reversed shackle angle?

correct, you will need to move the shackle forward on the frame
most guys just pivot the mount, using the top forward bolt and drilling three new holes. (plus big bushing hole)

I'm trying to avoid moving the shackle hanger forward. I had B52's, 52's and the DIY4X shackle hanger with 6" shackles on one of my K5's and I had a near perfect shackle angle.

I'm trying to run 52's up front but keep the axle in the stock position but now that @1977k5 brought up the fact that the 52's center bolt is dead center I don't have the option of flopping the springs around to mess with axle placement so an EZ-inch or Zero rate used to move the axle back 1.5" (from being moved forward 2") might be my best option for this.

Cause I have two sets in my garage, and currently I have some stiff 6" lift springs up front right now that I need to get rid of.

I ran my 1990 Blazer for several years with 52" springs, and the stock shackle hangers in the stock position.

I then moved the shackle hanger forward, and ran a longer shackle. I have not noticed any improvement.

Mine also does not use B52's. My front body mounts are just swapped side for side.

I kept all the brackets that I've taken off of the K5's I've had over the years just in case I mess something up or need to make something stock again for trade or sale.

Did you run crossover as soon as you put the 52's on?

I may just swap the L bracket up front and move the spring bucket up like you and a lot of other guys have done to keep cost down.

Also, when you before you moved the shackle hanger forward what length shackle were you using?

I had crossover right away.

I believe you could run 52" springs temporarily without crossover.

I was running the stock length 1990 shackles (which are longer than the earlier shackles, the same length as the ORD shackles).

How was the shackle angle? Ive got some 4.5" shackles (same length as ORD) in my garage.

It was fine.

I truly have not noticed any difference since moving the shackle hanger.

52's and the B52 kit you can keep the axle in very close to the stock location, not move your shackle eye hanger and have a respectable shackle angle.

It all depends on what you do with the front eye of the spring in the B52.

You can also use push pull steering since your axle will be very close to the stock location, however, and I want to be clear about this, your 52's will out travel the push pull steering system very quickly and cause some bad bump steer. Potentially damaging things. I wouldn't recommend it for much more than moving the rig around to continue working on things.

Thanks, that video answered every question I had.
