This works for the older model, before they changed the floor board behind the seats.
I'll start taking pic's tomorrow.
I'll be gathering pic's for my Ls build thread [coming very soon.]
Hey, it's time someone steals the limelight away from Dean.

If you have an open space available Dean,
Why not make a smaller toolbox fit up underneath the floorboard ?
I cut a hole in the floor behind the passenger seat cut the top off a Craftsmen toolbox, flanged it with some light gauge angle and welded.
Then that piece of floor board hinged it back to the floor.
And kept it shut with a p.o. box lock i got from Home Depot.
Holds the tools out of the way.

I saw that too. It's a great idea.

Never thought about a door from the top. I was going to make a door from the rear wheel well like this. I sanded the inside with skotch brite as far as I could reach which was just about to the very end and used Eastwoods rust inhibitor to paint the inside with. Rust was just surface, nothing pitted at all. Ya just got to love Cali trucks :D

With the lid shut it's flush with the floor.

Just lay under your rig with a tape measure and look for a spot.
