Thanks Ernie, sorry I didnt have more time to show you around. When you first text me I thought you were on your way and that would have been a perfect time, but my boss was working half day and I had to help with phones and orders.

Oh and that guy is anything but my buddy. :haha: He is a dick. He has about 15,000 into that thing and didnt do one thing himself. He has a built motor so he can tow his buddies boat :doah: His line was, can you tow at 90? I can. :haha: He spent 5000 on the motor and its just a 350 with some bling. It leaks more than my old ass motor has in 30+ years. :haha: He paid to have that k5 built when I first got mine to try and out do me. well he won. and he can have it. He has not hit the dirt in that thing since he put the lift, tires, and motor in it. Mom died and he spent her money, now he is borke.
sounds like a winner! :rolleyes::haha:

No problem Dean. It was nice talking to you again. I kind of felt like Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone there kind of funny.

That place as like a kids dream to play with dirt and big trucks all in one place. To tell you the truth Dean I would not trade your baby blue for the white chit truck. Your ruck is a lot cooler. Your truck looks freakin tough compared to that guys.

My license plate is held on by grade 8 hardware and pinch nuts. If anyone had the time to remove the long bolts and put that on, I would have to rock it.:o
My license plate fell off on the bull frog, its on now :D

Anyone have a stereo not in use? the ride sucked with out tunes. Not like I would hear them anyways with all the rattle from the tailgate :doah:

both my plates are on with zip ties :crazy:....and since you mentioned it, I threw-in an old Alpine CD deck, amp & 10" subwoofer that I had laying around plus a couple 6x9's that I got from Carl's old burb. I should have been installing my much needed gas tank skid, but what the hey, gotta have some cool tunes for the trail

doohickey

Got one of those 8274 warn doohickeys today. for free :D

Thanks Rob. I told him what he had and he didnt care, just said take it. He has a 69 bronco and is more into fire roads now and exploring that way, he didnt think he would ever need it. I just need to see some ways guys mount this type of winch.

I had one for awhile, it's a big heavy mutha...I got it from Carl's burb and it stuck out pretty far, I was planning on cutting up my grill and sliding the whole thing back and have it recessed into the front clip, but I ended up selling it instead. you might want to look into synthetic rope to cut down on the weight or zero rates up front, my front end was down about an inch with that thing installed. the nice thing about it is it's super fast and plenty strong.

yeah its heavy, and from what I have seen it does stick out far, kinda like my belly. I dont have a problem cutting up the grille to make it work. I found this pic.

that would be easy...just remove the grill, but I like the looks of a grill and it gives some protection to the radiator, I still have the marker lines from where I was going to cut :doah: DIY4X's bumper center is made to hold an 8274, doesn't look too bad

I know what Dean's next upgrade should be..............a bracket that holds 4 fire extinguishers.:doah:

No need to start a new build, just a little mishap at our usual lunch spot on the way to Bull. After a little unscheduled work, his Jimmy was still able to drive back to camp, and I assume it made it home. If not, he should have called me so I could trailer it. He could have driven my Heep down the hill to his house. Anyway, I don't think anybody got pics of the flames. Looking forward to hearing that the BBB got home safe.:crazy:

So other than the flames, how was the trip, [if this happened on the big bear trip on 6/5.] Hope it was some good wheeling. By the way my name is Shane, i live in riverside. i was thinking of chiming in on the roll call,if ti was the big bear trip. but lack of intro to you guys, my blazer not being up to par yet, and it was my kids 3rd b-day. On top of a short notice, i thought it wold be best not to. Any way looking forward to pics. And maybe after some time here, i will get out and join you guys. Sorry to hear about the burn, hope its not bad.
