They're 35s. I put a set of 37" procomp x terrains on the blazer a few years ago when I started restoring it w/ plans to lift it more to fit them. But the back and hip have gotten too bad to climb up any higher or handle driving over the rough stuff. New plan is to keep it w/ just the 2" lift and 35s. I'll be listing the 37s in the for sale section shortly.

I almost went w/ the ATs to save $25 per tire, and I would have if it was going to be more of a DD. But this is just going to be a weekend/ snow day/ surf fishing rig, so I went w/ the MTs.

Cleaned up a set of rally wheels, primed them and sprayed them w/ metallic charcoal VHT tire paint. I kind of like the darker stealth look so I'm not even going to scratch them up and re-use the ring. I think it will go well w/ the planned urban camo paint job.

And Man! these 35s look little after taking off the 37s.

Any idea what you're going to ask for the 37s? My tube frame really needs to be on 37s to keep the heights right with the way I set up the suspension. Might be willing to grab them now if its the right price.

Also you dont have any interest in metric 33in duratracs for 16in wheel do you?

I always liked the turbine wheel:waytogo:

well I did some reading on the net and found a guy with way more info than I ever thunk on these . http://www.detroitvintagewheels.com/

the correct name is cyclone II . but we all know them as turbine .

and fyi I haven't redone these wheels in over 15 years except little acid wash now and then . that's it and they still look this good on a plow truck no less. heck the truck is falling apart bad .

big brown santa stopped by today.

GRATS!!!

My wallet hurts just looking at that photo....

KM2s have been steadily climbing in price for the last couple of years. I don't know if I can even afford to replace my 38s when the time eventually comes. :eek1:

I'll send you a PM since this isn't the for sale section. and nope, I have no use for 33s.

They were $212 a piece from 4 wheel parts and $30 shipping so $877 total, which I didn't think was bad. It was a few hundred less than my local tire shop could do. Tire prices have been climbing because the feds have increased the tariffs on imported tires a few times over the past couple years.

You must be in the "sweet spot" for tire size vs. pricing.

The 38s are over $700 ea now!!! I originally paid $500 ea and thought THAT was ridiculous.... :yikes:

Prices do seem to seem to really jump around 37". I know the procomps I just took of were close to $400 each when I bought them.

I think the distinction is that most of the "titanium plated" items only get purchased once... Tires are a consumable that get keep costing money over and over. :D

That's interesting.... Looks like the prices may have actually come down since last time I checked.... $580/tire isn't exactly cheap but it's still better than the $700+ I remember seeing....
