specs : 1987 suzuki lt500r ( aka quadzilla )
mods done : duncan racing cool head stock cc size / kehin 39mm carb / k&n filter / paul turner full race exaust / rad mfg tapper bearing housing in rear / stainless steel slotted rotors x3 / pure sport bandit front tires and itp black water tires rear.

so as 1 or 2 members here knows :p: i have had this old girl for many years . she has had lots of ups and downs under my ownership thats for sure . but she has been mine for about 3/4 of my life now and i dont plan on her going anyplace anytime soon .

well today was the day she was drug out of the back storage parking spot behind my shop. had to move a few things out there to dig her out . but she come out just fine and now she is at the front of the shop .

stay tuned for more of the life and story of this old girl and what is already shipped out and will be bolted on to make her even more fun .

went and dropped $164.16 on 10 gal of VP C-12 race gas the other day . then i called up duncan racing and ordered a new pyramid reed valve unit for it for $225.00 shipped .

this will help get her going and back in action .

long list to do yet . flush tank ( it was drained ) / clean carb ( it was drained ) coolant swap / crank case oil swap / air up tires / headlight bulb swap out LED upgrade / brake fluid swap / and i am sure more will be added .

so the last time she was run was june 2011 :eek::doah: . . . i was moving out of state and put it in the trailer for storage . then i got hurt and had to move back home and get neck surgery for my blown out disc . the recovery from that was almost a solid year before i felt good to try but by then life got in the way and things just happened and i didnt get her out . next was the move to the new house and she was out of the trailer so i could use it to move and get stuff done . but after this back in she went yet again .

now i have been fixing up a few old school atv's for a older friend of mine he has drug home cheep . so he said get yours out and bring it up to the land and ride with me and the 2 grand kids he has . so today was real nice out and he was over and twisted my arm and we dug out the trailer and got my truck back there and pulled the old girl out .

at some point i will post up pics of the super clean 1994 honda 200 typeII forest green i fixed first for him . it had been sitting for 7 years in the other grandpa's garage . next was a 2004 yamaha big bear 400 4x4 with 82.65 miles on it . . . yes thats what i typed :deal: . guy won it in a $25.00 raffle ticket purchase with trailer and winch and plow . run it a tiny bit for 3-4 years and let it sit in his driveway until this winter when my buddy purchased it all for a smokin deal . she is currently apart waiting for new repop stickers from our good friend @mrk5 and then clear coat over the fenders to help hold the color after we cleaned them up .

like i said this will be a life story of the quadzilla and how it has come back and forth in my life and what was the trip in making me bring it out each time . :popcorn:

I can't wait to see this thing in action again! I miss riding. I'm down to just a little 250 yamaha to check deer feeders...
