Ive been a GM man for my entire life. It all started when I was a kid. My parents had a 78 Scottsdale with a small block 400 in it. That thing was amazingly fast. My mom taught me how to drive in it. I will never forget when she put me in the drivers seat on the canal bank in Merced County CA and let my first ever real GF sit in the center while she was by the door. Mom was awesome.

So here it is. My 88 K5. It has new tires so I am in no hurry to upgrade the wheels and get bigger tires just yet. I have yet to mention lift to my wife yet but I did buy the adjustable hitch :D ..... Will post a clip of it tomorrow. With more detail.

Very Clean rig!
Thanks. As far as I can tell the 91k on the odometer is original. Ive bought and sold cars with a local dealer, and he cut me a deal on it for $2500. Its clean in and out except for the yahoo that used the rear side panels for speaker boxes essentially making the rear quarters into boxes for 4 flush mount 12" sub woofers. My internet connection is slow so I will upload the you tube clip while I sleep.

Man, I paid $2500 for my junk... lol. Nice find :waytogo:
Yours dont look half bad. Mines looking for its fair share of wrench time. Couple things I wonder about yours. Does the rubber seal need changed when u take the top off? Seems like it would just crumble, or rip. Next is what size tires are you running? Look like 33's on stock sus?

Looks real nice, wish mine was that clean

There are 2 seals on the topper up front. The outer one looks fine and did not peal or crack when removing, the bottom one is shot and I ripped the rest of it off anyways. Ordered a new one from ClassicParts.com last week but found out today its on backorder :doah:.

Yes stock suspension for now, they are 32x11.5r15 maxxis buckshot mudders.

Thanks. I bet you get some snow up your way though. Here in Arkansas they only use plows if it snows. But if u have a Z-28 then your is better then mine no matter what lol. I just sold my RS so a kid that took a ditch with it. Haven't seen it lately so maybe he finished the job. I seen it in the walmart parking lot all jacked up. So I left a note "4 years of fixing and loving this car and this is what you do to it. I will gladly buy it back". He called but he said he was sorry and was going to fix it. I wish I could have kept it, but with a Mustang, Camaro, a single cab truck, and our baby making factory we just had to part with something. What a huge regret. Here is what it looked like about 3 years into the 4 year project.

Well that sucks its on back order. LMC is a good suppler but not sure what they have for the K5 Blazer. I think id like the 31's till I got a lift put on then maybe 33's. I dont like spending top dollar on tires so I will go big but not too big.

Lol I swear it asked where I was born, and not where I live. Im not in Hayward lol. Im in Mountain Home, AR. I need to get that changed.

Yah im bummed, hopefully it ships soon. Ive heard LMC isnt very good when it comes to seals and sheet metal. Heard classicparts had good seals.
