Back In the Saddle Again

Alright got almost everything buttoned up as far as body work goes. I forgot the P/O drilled the A pillars for a stupid light bar so welded the drivers side up last night will do passenger side today. Still need to mud over that. Got the roof buttoned up. All the edges are hit on drivers side. Just a bit more sanding and my painter is going to come get this in primer. Hopefully today or tomorrow. Then just got to block that with 320 do a little glaze if necessary and it’s ready for paint finally. Haha

Had my painter come and check it. He says it’s good to go for primer. Just need to hit the edges behind the taillights and it’s done.

If you ever have to do this and have goo from a weather strip you need to remove. Use a 3M eraser wheel. Saved me a ton of time.

Replaced the seal on the passenger vent window and the glass itself with LMC rubbers and the fit is absolutely horrid.
3/16 gap at the top wtf gunna whistle louder than a rape whistle . These are not going to work.

precision is your best bet, thou I have not done the wing vent windows. Mine haven't been open in at least 15 years maybe more.

What a pain to get together. I wanted the 1 piece design because I thought they sealed better. I’m wondering if it’s because I’m missing the rubber insert for the glass itself.
