Back In the Saddle Again

Started blocking the hood in the garage tonight. God dang thing is so dinged up. Didn’t see it before blocking. Considering getting a cowl hood now.

What is this "block sanding" you speak of? You building a show truck :haha:3M red Scotch Brite pad and paint it lol. I abuse my trucks too much.

My boss won’t let me park it out front the shop if it ain’t perfect. His reputation thing. Which is funny because I parked out there in rattle can with no problems for a year hahaha

That's because his shop didn't rattle can your S&^t box, now when your asked who painted it, and you will be asked, you'll tell them. It has to be a rolling bill board

So final decision between my boss, my painter and I. We are painting it the gunmetal and black two tone just like the one I posted above/before. Base clear application. I’ve decided I’ll buy a fiberglass hood later so I’m not worried about the dents in this one and the boss don’t care if this one is dented for a while if I buy another hood later and paint it to match.

So that’s the plan thus far. It’s Valentine’s Day so I’m not going to get Jack done today. Will be jamming hard on it tomorrow and Friday night hoping to have it done and ready for paint on Saturday. Saturday is my birthday. Would be straight bitching if I can have it painted this weekend.

Guy at work broke his ankle so that means the truck is getting put on the back burner. I may just get a wild hair and paint it myself at my house at this point. Or I will get the motor, tranny and front axle finished before its painted. I wouldn't mind getting the engine bay repainted before spraying the color anyways.
