Well got the call from the insurance company today and they told me that I had to get the insurance back on the blazer or my S-10 insurance is going from 236.00 to 562.00 because then I loose my discounts and other crap.

So my project floorboards and rockers need to get done now and I am changing all the fluids and doing misc. maintenance things. Changing the diff fluid I want to change the diff covers but all I can find for a reasonable price are the chrome covers and I always here about them leaking. Also I need a new tranny pan (th-350) mines a rusty leaker. Im looking for somthing rather inexpensive that im not going to have to keep screwin around with. Any good places to look for inexpensive parts like this.

Also been thinkin exhaust and headers, for headers Im not sure about brand but was wondering how anyone would get the rusty bolts out and what happens when they break off in the head? For exhaust im looking for somthing inexpensive dual strait pipes with glass packs or some other inexpesive mufflers. Give me some opinions and possible options sorry about the long confusing post.

Alright One Question at a time. EXHAUST AND HEADERS, for headers Im not sure about brand. But was wondering how anyone would get the rusty bolts out, and what happens when they break off in the head? For exhaust, im looking for somthing inexpensive, thinkin dual strait pipes with glass packs or some other inexpesive mufflers. Ideas opinions PLEASE

if you break bolts in the head you might near half to pull the head to fix.... as far a brand of headers you get what you pay for, thicker the flanges the better chance of a good seal and keeping seal. exhaust is hard to pick but my local did me some nice duals for 125 cash with H.O.T. (high output turbo) mufflers nice mellow sound and no pop like a cherry bomb,......... tranny pans are high so maybe a used one in decent shape would be better option. diff covers? what kind of axles you got? 10 bolts have few choices but if you a half a$$ fabricator or know a welder you can buy the ring and plate kit from DIY4X and make some hell he might make some for ya reasonable. ill be ordering the ring for my own little cover guard i'll build soon

Thanks Ill call around tomorow for exhaust couldnt buy tubing and cherrybombs for 125. Im lackin the welder for fabricating a diff cover probally could, but dont have the tools at my disposal anymore. Axels are 12 bolt rear, 12 bolt Dana 44 front? Might have to make a trip to the junkyard tomorow Ill see if I cant scrounge up a few parts might try and clean up my old diff covers, they dont leak but are rusty and I want to change the fluids and thought a new set of just plain old steel covers similar to stock would be in order. I dont want chrome, just dosent fit well with the truck which is mostly rust, and there normally pretty thin (at least at the parts store in town). Its a 75 K5 Blazer

d44 covers are plentiful some nice HD options form DIY4X. and others.,.... far as a 12 bolt i aint sure not recall seein alot of those advertised... and thats why my local guy does mine i weld and fab pipe for a livin but i can't buy tube and mufflers for that kinda dough. plus i drop it off and pick it up later no sweat for me and i busy fishin or somethin

Id go see if you cant get ur old diff covers sandblasted somewhere, then just spray bomb them.
