I have a friend who is giving me the third row seat out of his 2005 Tahoe. My truck has power fronts out of a 2006 Silverado so it will match the theme of the interior but the question is will it fit? What would be the best (easiest) way to mount it. I can get pictures if needed. Thanks for your help...

The third row benches are supposed to fit perfectly. As to mounting, post up pictures when you do it as I have the same plan.

I figured it would fit pretty well but it's got those quick release clamps that hook into the bars on the floor you know? I would like to retain the funtion of the quick relase if possible. Yeah I need to get pictures haha...

Those should be removable with a grinder, and then the would have to be welded back into yours. I want to do the same thing, since there have been quite a few times that I have had the seat folded out of the way for larger items. Keep us up to date, and as soon as you can get some shots of how you mounted the Silverado seats, since I plan that as well.

Youre talking about the floor bars right?

I'm in Chicago at the moment but I'll take some pictures when I get back to Texas.

Yep, the two pockets that go into the floor for the latches. At least I think that is what you are describing as needing.

Yeah I may need to end up fabbing something as I don't have access to the ones in this truck and a junk yard may end up being more of a pita than it's woth to just fab them.

They should be fairly simple, since they are just a bucket with a solid rod run through the middle.

There's a seller on ebay that sells the buckets, a little pricey though. You just cut out the floor enough for them to sit flush, and they are held in with 4 bolts IIRC. When I installed the rear seat in my suburban, I just had a local yard cut the 4 mounts out of the floor of another burban. I did not weld them in because I did not have time to drop down the gas tank. I used ten 1/4 rivets (might have been eight?) on each pocket, then seam sealed.
