what would you call the piece of metal at the bottom of a rear automatic window and where could i get a replacement?
 
Are You Talking About The Piece Of Metal The The Glass Is Setting In And Bolts To The Regulater.
 
i just pulled a good one out of a newer burb from junkyard that is in really good shape. cost me $2
 
sorry i just snooped around in a truck junkyard wint the remains of my old one :( i know that doesnt help

Do believe it's a "window sash." LMC (www.lmctruck.com) gets $40 for them, for Blazers, at least ... donno if you have a K5 or a Burb. Gack, I just looked and the Burb ones are $95. :eek:

I would think junkyards, IF you can get a non-rusty one.

I find the LMC catalogs are invaluable not necessarily for buying things, but for identifying parts and their names. Page 27 of the Blazer catalog, for instance, has an exploded parts diagram of the entire tailgate window assembly and names for it all :pimp:

And the catalogs are free from the web site above :D
