What should the backspace be on a 16x10” steel wheel for my 88 Blazer with a Dana 60 and 14 blt. The rims I’m looking at are 16x10” with a 5” backspacing from Summit, Wheel Vintiques 82-600805 - 82 Series Wheels, and there made in the USA.
I currently have white spoke type rims from 4 wheel parts that are 16.5 x 9 ¾” with a 4 ½” back spacing.
Thank you,
Ed

5" will suck them in a bit like guys running h2 rims that are 5" b/s .

i my self would stick closer to 4" or 4.25" for a more normal look. but i am old school my self.

and WOW what a price for a stock looking basic rim

I gots a set of 16x10 eagles with 4.25" backspace. They look good, and are just tucked inside my cutout flares.

Like said, 5" may be a a but much bs.

It's the offset that counts, I like to think of backspacing as just a byproduct of the wheels width and offset.
If you use a similar tire, those wheels will tuck in the tires 3/8" more than the wheels you're using now.

That is actually a very good price for a stock style wheel. I would like a set like that but the prices used to be around $200 when I looking. I think 4.25" backspace is the more common. I run a 39.5" TSL on whitespokes with 4.25" and have no issues. What size tire do you plan on? Summits shipping is cheap to, so that will save some money also.
