Backspacing for 15" 8 lug wheels?

Are you guys able to run 15"s on 3/4 ton axles without problems?

What backspacing would I need to clear the big old brakes, and would I have to modify the brakes themselves?

I ran them on my old axles with 3.00 of BS and I didn't have to do any grinding on the front and they fit the rear without either. The backs will clear no problem even with 4.25 BS. On the fronts, it depends on the casting of the brakes as to whether 3.00 will clear 100% without a slight bit of grinding or not.

Most places don't LIST them. You have to specify what BS you want so they can order them for you.

Mine look like sh!t w/37x12.5 IROKS. I did'nt have to grind any w/ mine (2.5" bs) that doesn't mean you won't.

I mocked it up without tires mounted on the rims. It was enough to make me wish I had ground the calipers for some w/ 4.5" bs. I bought the wheels new. If I ever get them mounted I'll post pics. I should have kept my H2 rims.

Damn man. I'll go with mid 3" backspacing and do some grinding.


The front would be ridiculous [+ me getting pulled over 47x per day] [+ me smashing up my truck w/ rocks n shish]

here is 2 inches ( i think) mabye 2.5 on 10 inch wheels (rear is 14 inch wide)..this is why im trying to go 3.5..

I'm running 15x12 rockcrawlers with 2.75 bs with 38x15.50 claws. They stick out a good bit (bout 5in or so)
