How much backspacing can I run on 1/2 ton axles with a 15" or 16" wheel? The reason I am asking is trying to make my new buggy fit on my trailer and not have to change tire when I get there. Also anyone know of a company that makes a 15x6 or 16x6 with whatever backspacing I can run. Thanks in advance

Dan

my 15x8" rims with 4.125 or 4.25" BS fit between my trailer fenders with 12.5" wide MTR's. My deck is 83" wide between the fenders.

im sure those arent the answers he is looking for. i am looking for a similar answer, how much BS before you start to hit the brakes and ball joints? i am curious about 16.5 rims though.

Also you might talk to Matt (az-k5) on Loco. He is a tire guy and may be able to order you rims to fit your needs. I know he can get custom made steel rims for specific size & BS. So he might be able to help you find what you need.

That is going to be the same answer. I've got a set of facotry OEM steel 16" rims with 4.250 BS. 16.5's are going to be the same, MAYBE even 4.5 BS

do you know how close they come to the ball joints, or anything else for that matter?
