Hello all I am looking for some info on backspacing and offset of rims for my truck. I have tried googling it for hours and havnt found a answer yet...
Currently I am running 33x11.50 on my '88 1 ton with the stock rims.
The plan in the future is to run 14.50"-16" wide tires, but for now I dont have the money for the lift and other stuff so I am just gonna do new rims and 35s BUT I want to keep the tires as tucked into the fender as possible so when I do go super wide they won stick out as much. I have no idea what the backspacing and offset I would need to keep them tucked and not shred them on my drag link.
Thanks

gotta measure yourself
check to see how much farther you can go until the rim hits the tierod
then pull a tire off and measure your current backspacing
1 plus 2 equally your needed backspacing, but you might not be able to hide 14-16" tires I don't think. Mine are 15.5 tire, 11" rim on 4.5 (IIRC) BS. Build thread has pics and what the tierod clearance looks like

I dont appericate getting dumb responces to a simple question on a forum from people that are high on them selfs when they could simple answer the question without being d!cks

Where abouts in your build are those pics?

I meant what page! I dont have the time to look threw 60+ pages to find them

I wouldnt do more that 5.5 bs on a 10-12" wheel. by the time your sidewall hangs over you'll be into the springs and all. Mine are 33x12.5x15 on 10" wheels with 3.75 bs. tires only stick out about 2" in front and are still tucked in back even with 2" spacers back there

Pictures are probably 65% of the way through, so start there and check it out. Also, the "how will my truck look with xx lift etc" is a good way to look at tire setups. There was another thread specifically addressing wheel backspacing and what they looked like.
