What's the minimum backspacing on wheels are needed to clear the steering components?

I made sure to get something in between 3.5 and 3.75. The AE 589's are 3 5/8 for a 15x10. Thats what I got. I used to have 4 inch backspaced rims on a '79 Blazer and they rubs the tie rod ends like a mofo. It sucked. A lot of the cheap 15x10 inch rims ARE 4 inches, so watch out and ask before you order.
