Slick roads and 7500 lbs of trailer make for a terrible combination.
Here lies the remains of a 70 shortbed. It was a spectacular show. Looks like I will be getting a new paint job after all.

The drivers door still looks good.
Snow really sucks. I hope the chassis is salvageable.

I hope you made it out alright. That makes me want to puke. Dude, Im sorry for your loss. Hope you get it on the road soon.

that sucks. i guess you lucky though, yo could have been like big94gmc and had it roll down a hill and hit another car.:(

Hurts to see a classic like that damaged beyond repair. Is it totalled?

Was it on the trailer in the 1st pic or was the trailer there to pick up the remains? :(

That just plain hurts.

I think it was on a trailer, look in the first pic, there's a ramp leaning on it.

That really sucks, I hope its salvagable:D

What a shame - so did the trailer start fishtailing or what exactly happened? Thank goodness no one was hurt!

Roll and Crash

Dude sorry for the bad luck, Ihope your alright. It sure would be a good truggy project if the frame is strait.
Seriously, that had to hurt. Hurts me just looking at it. I've got some extra doors if you want them. Later J.

When loading the Truck on the trailer. We didn't get enough toung weight on the truck. That was mistake #2. #1 was towing someting like that on a real slick road, cold day. It was on the trailer when the tow rig and trailer began to fishtail. Then the trailer and truck slid sideways till the trailer hit the shoulder then it proceded to do a barrell roll still chained to the trailer. The c10 & trailer both did a 1 1/2 roll and ended justlike in the pics but still chained to the trailer. Even the safety chains snapped and kept the Tow rig from rolling. My friend was towing my truck for me and I was driving his jeep, following behind. I watched every second in sheer horror. I am still sick to my stomach.

Luckly for me, It stayed on the trailer and nothing but body pannels and sheet medal were damaged. We flipped it back over and it started right up and we drove it back onto the trailer. What sucks Is I just had all the inside of the cab Line-x ed so now i'm not sure if I should make a convertable or a resto project. any advise?
My Father gave me this truck and he bought it when it was new in 1970 so it has a-lot of value to me.

Buy a new cab, bed and front clip and go from there. I'd try to find a "cheap" 2wd donor:D

Do you have any pics prior to the roll? Looks like it was a nice truck.

if that is the case I would lean towards a full restore on it.
