Anyone else have the ignition switch short out? The one in my wife's Burb has been giving us issues, but far and few between. Last Friday it went out, but almost burned the Burb to the ground. She couldnt get it started and just kept clicking the key foward. After smoke starting coming from under the hood, she decided to call me.
I started pulling stuff out on Saturday and noticed the switch had scorched marks on it. Later found the ground wire from the switch to the firewall had melted through the insulation and burned a bunch of wires around it. About 12 hours worth of work later, I no longer need a key to start the truck. I replaced some of the wiring that burned and removed a bunch that was left over from previous electrical projects. Anyone remember what the number is for the brighter dash bulbs?
