Before I start trouble shooting , want to see what ya'll think. If I drive the truck and hit 1000rpm steady, the truck starts bucking and missing, i have to "gas" thru it and once im at 1200rpm and above its fine. Idle its fine. In park, its fine at any RPM, no miss.

I was going to start at the plugs and then go from there. I do need to "tune" my carb some (has trouble idling in the really cold temps). So, dont know of the power booster on the front of the carb is bad (heard they will go back with ethanol fuel). Carb is Holley 570 cfm with dual inlets....

Thanks in advance.............

Ok, sounds easy enough..I posted on another forums and they suggested vacuum advance sticking. Is there any way to check, verify and fix that ??

it won't be vac advance.. yup, i'd be looking for a burnt wire, bad cap/rotor... plug read while you're there..

Ok, jus wanted to make sure. ill pick up some plugs, cap/rotor and ive got a set of wires ive had for awhile..might as well do a full tune up on it, ill check timing while im at it...

I do gotta make sure another mouse hasnt gotten into my engine bay to get out of the weather. Had that happen couple years ago..lol

Thanks.......

FIXED = found burnt and broken plug wire..front drivers side plug, where the headers is, it was melted right at the part that goes on the plug itself, enough that it was probably arching on the steel header, dunno, but i took wire off, repaired it and put it back and its running good now...
