I own an 87 k5 that i locked the motor up in,i took my carburetd 350 out of my 78 firebird and put it in the truck,i regulated the pressure and all that. it ran for a few days then the carb started acting up so i said screw it and was going to make it fuel injected again and now the intake manifold doesnt line up,do they make an aftermarket tbi intake for an early model v8? or am i up the creek and have to stick with carb?Any leads will help, thanks guys.

you can run an adapter on the intake... but more importantly, the cam on the carbed motor will wreak havoc with the ECM running TBI...

The four center intake bolts are at a different angle is all and many people have elongated the holes in those positions and then correct for the angle so the bolt head sits squarely against the manifold. The problem you're going to run into is the cam isn't FI friendly so you'll be lucky if it even runs half way decent when you're done. I would fix whatever is going on with the carb/fuel pressure and deal with it until you can fix/repair the TBI engine.

I'm thinking at a minimum the lobe seperation would be bad for tbi....

Thanks for all the input guys, i thought it would be too much off a hassle to deal with the cam and all so i put the holley systemax intake back on and bolted up a new holley avenger 4 barrel got every thing tuned and it runs like a scalded dog now!
