I just Put new leaf springs in Front and Rear of my 87 K5.The stock ones were 3 leafs I got the Husky 4 leafs. When I put em in the front was higher than the back but it drove fine. I put New Rear Leafs in to level it out.. The stock ones were 7 i put the Dayton heavy Duty 8 leafs. Now it sits perfect. I went to take it for a test drive, now I’m getting bad vibration at 15 mph. I could imagine at higher speed. I turned around and took it back to the shop. I need help. I don’t know what to do. I put so much into this truck it drove so good. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thx..MM

I also think that the extra bit of lift from the new springs has affected your driveline angle. Is your rear driveshaft a double cardan joint at the t-case?

Also consider if the driveshaft U-joints are old it’s time to replace them. The change in angle might make old ones angry.

Probably the driveshaft angle. Probably need a shim under the rear leaves to get it back in line.

I got a cv joint installed on rear driveshaft. I don’t have noise anymore I now have vibration. I’m gonna install wedge shims today. 4 degrees. Hopefully this will rectify the problem

With a CV drive shaft, you want the pinion and drive to be inline, 0 degrees, resting ride hight.
The CV handles all the angles.
