1/2 ton status
Was driving my K5 today. Its stock 305, headers, mallory dizzy, holley 650cfm carb.
At idle its fine, vacuum gauge holds steady at 17 (whatever vacuum is measured in. lol). When I give it slight gas, there is like hesitation and the motor stumbles. When im driving it and give it gas from a stop and low RPMs it vibrates the whole truck, the RPMs DONT miss, but the power is lacking. When I let off the gas , motor returns to idle and is fine.
COuld it be a Plug wire gave up? The motor is hot and I havent had a chance to poke at it.
I was just going to replace the plugs, wires and cap and rotor. I havent change the cap/rotor in a couple years.
Funny part is, when i first drove the truck this morning, it was fine. Brought it home. And then in an hour or so later I went out and that is when it started acting up.
What other things should i or could i check for?
