I brought my brand new SSR's to get them balanced today and they mounted them fine and said they couldnt balance them because the machine told them they need 11 ounces of weight on one side

I'm going to a comercial tire balancer tomorow...

I would take it that this is normal for a 35" SSR?

Yes, with the ssr's it's your luck with balancing, I heard of some requiring more like 40 on one side.

Did they try and rotate the tire on the wheel 180 degrees, sometimes that will cancel out some of the weight.

Drop in about 8-12 ounces of BB's and save the agravation of trying to get em balanced.

I have heard bb's work their way thru the rubber fter a while ...or is that an old wives tale?
