LMC's ball joints good enough? I run 35" tires, nothing radical. The truck spend more life on pavement than dirt/ Moog have some offset ones, but I'm guessing that's overkill.

Since I'm going through the effort is is recommended to replace both the upper and lower at the same time?

thanks:D

Moog used to be the first choice for ball joints and other front end parts--TRW,Perfect Circle and Mquay-Norris were good names too,but I have heard some reports of Moog parts being made overseas and failing rapidly lately,so it's probably a crap shoot as far as which brand is "best" any more, and worth the extra money...
Personally I think a lot of the bargain brand parts get stuffed in name brand boxes nowadays, they rely on the "good reputation" the brand names used to have,to sell more of them..and they only cost you more, they aren't always "better"...today profit over-rides quality quite often..

If you are thinking Moog, have you checked out their parts on rockauto.com? Pretty good prices, and somewhere on this forum rockauto posts their 5% off coupon.

Other than that, I have nothing more to offer in terms of tech help. Good luck!

You would think I was looking for a pink unicorn.

Is this the animal I require? Never replaced mine, hence the 20 question routine

I know this is old but the best ball joints I have seen so far have been the factory spicer ball joints cost as much as aftermarket but sealed so you do not have to grease them. You can buy them online. I have used them in several of my customers truck because the roads are so bad here also most never grease the ball joints so just save them the effort to install the factory type sealed ball joints.
