Ball joint spanner socket

I did a search and only came up with part of the information I needed.
I am looking for the spanner socket/wrench thing for the adjusting sleeves on a dana 44 upper ball joint.
I have found these part numbers:

Parts Mike - T40207
OTC - 7080
Kent - J-23447

Does anybody have the NAPA, Snap-on, MAC, autozone, Advance auto parts,or ACME part numbers? When I ask at these places I just get a weird look. I would like to get one for this weekend so finding it locally would be ideal. Thanks in advance.
 
i got snap off unit but its at work. hope you have better luck finding one in town. best ask friends in town that do this stuff.

did the old ones break? if not i never change them. never had a problem after .
 
Snap On - S9613 --- expensive little bugger

i believe you can make your own with a grider, a 5/8 (?) deep socket, and 30 mins or so (someone who knows the correct size please chime in)
 
i believe i made mine out of an old 13/16 socket. broke two teeth off torqing the first one down, broke the other two off trying to torgue the second one down,
 
I found one today at ACME, the people there didn't even know what is was. I just started digging through shelves, racks and bins and there it was, all pretty in the dusty plastic packaging. It wasn't even in their computer system. I told the guy, I'll give you $5 for the headache you caused me and I'll take it off your hands. He agreed and left the store happy. I love when the customer is right.
 
I made mine out of a 3/4" deep socket. i plan on buying one from parts mike. My neighbor bought one from snap-on and it cost him an arm and a leg.
 
I got mine from Parts Mike a few days ago, and managed to snap two teeth off it at about 30 ft/lbs :mad: ...Mike's is a machined piece, so the teeth are pretty brittle. Went ahead and put in an order for the Snap-On socket...it's only 10 bucks more.
 
I ordered mine from Snap-on. Cost me like $25 plus shipping or something like that.

SnapOn.com has free shipping right now. I had a homemade spanner that I finally broke and replaced it with one from SnapOn. The shipping was a deal breaker for me so I had to run down the guy on the truck, but with free shipping I would be a lot more likely to order online.

i did the same thing and it works great mite take you a few trys to get the 4 prongs cut right but it is not hard to make at all and will cost you next to nothing

So how long did it take you? Do you work for free or very cheap? Time is money and i get $80.00/hr so i figure the price to buy one is way cheaper than making it and i can spend that time making $80.00/hr instead.

It took me maybe 3 trys and a total of 15 minuets, my self i was in a jam on a sunday and i live is a small town ware it would take a week to get the proper tool so you have to impervise a bit, and about the money part i'm only 17 and currently am in grade 12 and i'm inbettween jobs at the moment.
