i just recieved my ballistic fab crossover kit and Im sure its just me being an idiot, but when they say "Two 1.5"OD .250 wall tubes for tie rod and drag-link 58" long" i figured the ends would be threaded wouldnt you? not just plain tubing with ends you have to weld in? it doesnt say anything about welding in the ad. that i could find. plus tie rod ends are threaded arnt they? i may be wrong about in my thinking.. what does the brotherhood think?

I would think the same thing. My ORD tubes were threaded, and yes, tie rod ends are threaded. I guess you could just weld bungs in but if thats not what you wanted give them a call. They should specify they are NOT threaded when you order or atleast ask of you if want threaded tube or weld in bungs and non threaded tube.

Same here with the ORD tubes. Call them back as I am assuming you weren't looking for weld in ends, just plug and play stuff.

yea I had a WFO kit i was assuming it would be similar (the drag link part at least). even in the ad pic they arnt welded. I will give them a call tomorrow.

The picture on their site of the parts in the kit shows the unwelded tube adapters

Yeah I think the point is it would be nice if they would give a little written notice. I would expect that from ballistic. They're very DIY oriented just like kurt.

When I got my WFO kit they gave me the option to save $20 bucks. I just had them weld it.

It says it's a kit.It shows all seperate pieces.I don't get your confusion.
its not a big deal i just thought they were threaded ends not weld on. since the rod ends themselfs are threaded i though they just threaded in. like i said just me being an idiot i guess.

thay should clearly tell you welding is required for the install of this kit before use.

but i do know that by the pic it does need to be welded . but thats from a few years of web wheeling :haha:
