The Castle nut and stud spun freely on my upper balljoint :eek1: :doah:how do I remove the nut so I can get the balljoint off?

Try putting your floor jack under your steering knuckle and jack it up a bit. Hopefully this would seat the taper enough for you to get the castle nut off. Try also soaking the castle nut in penetrating oil.

Yeah we finally got the nut off(had to drive a chisel into the stud with a hammer then Impact wrench it off after heating it and soaking it in penatrator.) and are going to get a fork to get the lower joint off the axle. The Upper Joint was completely blown and the lower was doing all the holding. I'm glad my dad knows what he is doing.

45 minutes for a stubborn problem like that? Your dad sure does know what he is doing.

I probably waste 2 hours before I have it solved.

Balljoints are getting replaced anyway I probably would have cut the top of the balljoint off.:wink1: I don't even mess around with stuborn crap that is getting replaced anyway:doah:
