Do they still make these things? There are lots of them out there apparently or is this still new old stock? :dunno:

New Old Stock.
That is why it's so expensive.
They used to be $2200 new from Banks.
There are some parts you can still get from Banks but not the whole kit.

Not sure if you can get the whole kit or not, but Banks has been extremely helpful in getting parts for the used kit I purchased. Great CS.

Take into consideration that the engine hasn't been used in civilian production vehicles since the early '90's, really wasn't that common (very low production numbers as compared to gasoline powered trucks), and in general has a reputation of being a boat anchor to many people.
 
the muffler is the suck..I pulled mine off and replaced it with an aluminized racing muffler..half the size, half the weight and sounds/breaths much better...cut my exhaust temp like 20 degrees
