Ok so heres my dilema i want to leave the fuel injection on the truck, heard lots of good things, but i dont want all the electronic components and the emisions and all the crap i dont need. does anybody know how or has anybody done this with their trucks. i want to regasket the motor because like any typical chevy 350 it leaks from every place oil can come out of haha. i want to do that and when i put it back together i want to get rid of all the electrical components and emisions that i dont need. i live in iowa so the whole emisions thing isnt pushed to hard at least that i know of. i looked for a little bit in the search but couldnt come up w/ anything so if anybody has any info on this that would be spectacular. thanx guys..

There is nothing electrical that you can get rid of and not cause issues with the ECM.

TBI doesn't really have anything that isn't a required component to run...

Some of the carb emissions stuff didn't do any good, and you were able to make the engine run better without, but TBI setups are extremely basic, and if it has a component now, it absolutely needs it to run properly.

If you remove anything electronic, or any emissions systems such as the EGR, EVAP system, or even the AIR system, you will have some major problems with the engine.
