So about a year ago I put 4 inch lift leaf springs on my 91 k5. And then I added a 3 inch body. I didn't change anything on the steering, I was being cheap and everything bolted up surprisingly and it drove perfect ( it's just a mud truck). Well a month ago I wrecked into a canal. The rag joint snapped, tires blew out.. Frames still straight. So I put a new rag joint on this weekend and now it only turns left a slight bit. Nothing appears to binding, I disconnected the steering stabilizer. Im assuming drag link adjustment, any knowledge on how it should be or any other ideas on what might be the issue

It's a draglink adjustment that would fix it, but you should find out why first.

Frame damage would be #1 (though you said that was fine), bent u-bolts can cause it as can the draglink jumping threads on the adjuster sleeve.

Ok I forgot to mention that axle slid back on the leaf spring, when I installed the leaf springs the rod on my stock spring was broken off in the axle perch so I grinder the rod off the new spring, when I crashed it moved back about 1/2 inch on the passenger side, I straightened it out with a chain fall. And it's 3 1/4 turn from lock to lock right now, I'm it sure what it's supposed to be

So you have no center pin on the passenger side? You gotta get what is still stuck in the springpad out and replace the one in the spring. It is possible that the axle is moving instead of steering or it still isn't centered on the spring correctly and it is throwing the steering off.

That is exactly what is happening.
he needs a new centering pin.

And with a 4" lift you should probably have a raised steering arm to compensate for the lift to get full steering back. Although in this case I agree that axle is shifting.

Im picking up the raised steering arm tomorrow. I already have new 8 inch lift sprigs from superlift and new perches to weld on. Do u think a raised steering arm will be ok on a 8 inch lift or do I need a drop pinan arm too.

You WILL need both. Crossover would be best, but if you are sticking with stock type steering you need both.

About how much does cross over cost, I don't have a flat top steering knuckle so il have to figure that out too
