ran across this today, not a bad design. you could easily build gas can mounts into it and added side protection for the big asses on our trucks. seeing as my sub is going to be more of an expedition rig than a crawler the added width out back really wouldnt bother me, it's still narrower than the door mirrors and about the same as the sliders would be.

I've come to the conclusion the only way to get a good rear tire carrier is going to be to build one myself.
