Bash 09 question

When it gets closer, look me up. I go from Colorado Springs and go alone. More than willing to have some company. As long as you are not a flag burning tree hugging activist.

I am full control at most times. It is the guy in the pasenger seat who usually needs to change his pants.

I hope to have the 39 there this year.

Well on the other end of this scope My daughter has been going since she was 1 and a 1/2 so have many other kiddos So age should mean nothing

The hip is getting better. Have to finish dads 34 chevy first. But ye, I hope to have it there. It will still be a work in progress.

Hope I'm not "high jacking" but what kind of cost are we looking at not counting fuel. There are some things that have to happen before I commit to going but while planning or hoping however you want to put it, general cost would help. Is it going to be too cold to camp? Never been there that time of year and never wheeled there.

I'm working on the registration right now. I've had some CK5 vendors come through BIG TIME and really help cut the costs for you guys - the participants. So please check out the sponsors on the blazerbash.com homepage and support them with your business as thanks for helping out. Without them, all the permits and insurance fees were looking very daunting.

All that being said, because of said fees, I'm going to make registration a little more flexible. There will be a base fee that basically gets you into the BBQ and raffle tickets. Then you will be able to sign up for trails separately. This means if you can only wheel Sat & Sun, those are the only days you have to pay for. Also some of the trails are not only on BLM land, but also cross Utah School & Institutional Trust Land Administration (SITLA) property and these trails require additional permit fees. So some trails will be more expensive than others.

Without getting into too much detail, the maximum you might pay as a single individual will be approximately $40 if you register before the event. The maximum for a family will be double that, $80. That's wheelin' all 3 days on the trails crossing SITLA land.

All of the options for registration will be available around the first of April.

It was quite comfortable camping last year so there is some savings in that. You wont be disappointed wheeling in Moab, it truly is a wheeling paradise

That’s good to hear that camping is an option. I was starting to think it would be $100 plus just to go and that would have made my decision easy. Really I’m a little nervous wheeling my k5 because I’m use to a smaller WJ w/ efi. Hoping this summer I’ll get more time wheeling it and become more comfortable.

I went to BB06 having never wheeled anything. Only desert racing. Had a blast and won't miss it for anything.

I think the best way to learn to wheel with a K5 is going to Blazer Bash where you're surrounded by K5's, Burbs, and fullsize pickups.

x2, you have people who have done it before and you just line your tires up where the guy in front of you goes. Pretty simple for the most part.

With my giant hood and lack of confidence in my carb vs efi, I am nervous but either way I’m going to go if I can. It would be fun going to Moab and meeting new people is always great to. If I cannot make it, I will definitely go to the local gatherings in CO.

get ur but to moab man! There are folks coming from that way just train link up and drive with them as for the carb many of these guys have been there and so you have the experiance to help u

Yea, the carb isn't a big deal. I've had both now and the fi is definetly nicer but the carb was ok too.
