+ Battery cable

Mine goes batt-starter-fusible link on firewall-alternator, which raises a question: would it be better to have a cable running from the battery right to the alternator?

and 6' should be plenty....i went to local air-gas/welding supply and got 00 welding cable and made my own

negative too

ran 8ga. from alt to starter lug.... its oxygen free streetwire

soldered copper lugs on

That damn cable is not coming out tonight. The clamps that hold it alongside the oil pan are kicking my a**.
When I removed the oil pan there were some that the nut was stuck on the stud but I never fixed it. Now I am regretting it.

So I cut the cable in half just out of spite.....it made me feel better for about 3 seconds.

Time for another beer.

I just replaced mine and its only 4' runs down the frame, its a little tight. I think 6' like everyone is saying will be a cleaner
