Tried searching for this but didnt find an answer. How do I power the ecm? I am leaving my original harness in my 85 but am also running the tbi harness. How do i power the ecm? What wires need voltage? Is it the orange wire in B1 and C16 that get battery power?
Pink/black that gets switched? Do I use a relay in between? What about fusing it vs circuit breaker? Thanks

PM bp71k5, he just installed TBI into his 1st gen and i'm pretty sure he can answer your question.

For the 7747 computer there's two power wires:
1. The big orange wire (there's two but they are just spliced together at the fuse box and it gets direct battery power (not switched). This wire also powers the fuel pump relay so it's fused on mine at 10A

2. The black\pink wire gets switched ignition power. I have this fused at 10A (I'll have to check which).

Edit: I fixed the fuse ratings. I used 10A for both and have no trouble so far.

Your '85's fuse panel will have the accessory terminals, so you can power them right off of there (ignition OR constant 12V), but of course still need to be fused, as they are 30A feeds.
