BB 2016 Pictures

On the last day I swung into the City Market parking lot to say goodbye to everybody. As I pulled in, my mirror clonked the mirror of an F350 that was sitting there. The guy hopped out all mad, "you know you hit my mirror, right?" I said yes, i was sorry about that, doesn't look like anything got damaged. He didn't let up, going on about me being more careful in parking lots and such. I said look, I apologized, nothing got broken, what do you want me to do, un-hit it?

He calmed down and shook my hand. Probably helped there was about 20 scary looking dudes with squarebodies standing around behind me. lol.

Bwahahaha. Nice de-escalation story.

My favorite story though, was at Hell's Gate, Wade parked a ways away. He handed his lunch to one of the guys that was going up the Gate, so when he made it up, Wade could pick up his lunch without walking back to his truck. Now THAT was thinking ahead.

Why did he leave the truck behind?

That 2 door Tahoe is linked?

Yep the big giant one? Had coil overs up front and 41.5 pitbulls rear was 64" springs I think. Pretty sketchy on some of the tippier stuff

I give him props for wheeling a mud truck in Moab. ?
Yeah, I got the opportunity to talk to him for a bit while I held everybody up on fins..(Sorry!!!). Said he had to lower his truck a couple inches from where he normally runs it for the trip. Said he does a lot of straight hill climb stuff, not side to side stuff so was pretty sketched that he might tip over. Lol. Was a really nice rig tho. I love the obs body styles.
Where was this in Moab?! I needed to test out if I was gonna be able to survive a jump! Oh wait what am I thinking, I didn't even survive all of fins...:(

Damage report?

I just want to take a moment and thank everyone on the fins run for their tremendous understanding and patience with BlaZeus and I as we held up the group with several cooling system "issues"(more like disasters:doah:). My dad, friend and I are indebted to those of you who helped me out with the issues and lent us coolant. Special thanks to Chad in the supercharged orange first gen for all the help, time and guidance. Does anyone know his username? He was such a blessing.

I will hope to be back next year with more time, be more built, and more prepared. In the meantime, the West coast guys should set up another trip somewhere before BB17!:waytogo:

So weird having to tape cardboard to the grill when it's 99 degrees out and the temp only hits 195 at max.
