My attempt at Widow Maker on Metal Masher

I thought maybe @Justin V would at least appreciate the 4 wheel burnout. Dug pretty deep holes.

Did they do some work on the entrance to widow maker? When we were there it had some kind of metal stake and grating conglomeration that kept you from falling off the right side.

Yup, that stuff was still there on the hill climb that leads to the actual widow maker climb. It looks like quite a bit of work had been done to keep the obstacle accessible.

That's good. It was pretty sketchy getting in there. I haven't been to Moab since 09 so I'm sure things have changed a lot. Did they ever roll the big boulder back in place on the left side of rocker knocked on Pritchett? It was innocent but my buddy was the one that knocked it out of there! 44" boggers are crazy!

On Wednesday we headed out to Area BFE to run a couple new trails with Fred and the Vegas guys.

We ran Offspring and Tool, both were really easy even though their ratings were equivelant to Green Day.

We got through those pretty quick so we decided to run Green Day too.

Fred and I talked to the Vegas guys and headed out to go to Dead Horse Point. I took a quick break to see if I could get some air under hte S-10 (it was a weak attempt).

While Amber was filming the jumping she heard a weird noise from the front end of the S-10. Thursday morning I looked into it and discovered the front ring gear was binding in one spot. I decided it was bad enough I needed to pull the diff cover. Fuzzy magnets are a good thing right?

That's not good...

Miraculously not only did Moab 4x4 Outpost have the parts, they also had time to get it done that day! We dropped the S-10 off and hung out at camp.

Random shot of someone elses rig getting worked on and Eric looking sexy.

We got the S-10 back around 5, broke the new gears in driving around town for dinner etc. Then we did a night run up Moab Rim, no day passed without hitting a trail!

I still have more pictures and drone footage I have to process, but I'll get it up ASAP.

Green day is probably my most favorite trail in all of Moab now...such a cool trail all around

Possibly, but not necessarily on Green Day. I ran the whole trail twice in one week in 2015 and didn't get any body damage at all. I would think a rig on 40's could do it without body damage just fine. Just take your time on it and should be fine. Luckily it's not a terribly long trail, so could really take your time and enjoy it and probably get away with no damage.

The only body damage I got last week was on body snatcher, which is optional. I also cracked the base of my mirror when I flopped over in escalator, but nothing else hit so I'm not counting that.

I wanted to run Pritchett but with a fresh build I was afraid I would end up being a trail tampon.
