BB 2020 pic thread

Ron! Holy crap! If I want action footage the next time we go out I'm putting a GoPro on you!
That pic might actually be the mild angle. @6872xtc son has a pic from the backside. @rderosier is a bit over 6' tall and had to reach over his head to grab my back bumper to help me return to terra firma.

Story time

Upon the start of the morning Saturday, Toyota Kurt (AKA @Spork929 ) already flush with disappointment for fighting the charging system, he missed first call for the Golden Spike trail run. With no other options that day to run except Chicken Corners, Kurt and Dad Spork loaded the Yota that identifies as a square body, and hustled to the end of the road leading to the Gold Bar trailhead and unloaded. From here, he would be able to run the trail as Crack n Back and meet up with the main group

Hustling as fast as 83 horsepower would hustle, they blitzed at the speed of a cactus up the long and dusty road towards the start of Gold Bar. But lo and behold, the Yota was not on a NASCAR run, and failed to turn left halfway down that dusty road, leading the Sporks into sure death

From the Poison Spider side, the main group made their way steadily, lead by Sir GalaChad the Noble. Long and dusty was their journey through the Forbidden Trifecta desert. For their great cause was to rescue any lost souls they might encounter. Thirsty and tired, they happened upon a mystical Yeti abandoned on the trail. Being Sir GalaChad the Noble, he immediately counseled with the other knights of the brown table. They could not take possession of the great artifact, for they were not worthy. They however were equipped with many offroad stickers. Hence Sir Fred, Sir GalaChad, and Sir Javier left the cooler molested, neigh, camouflaged and it left below the only tree on the trail. Upon their way they continued, spreading the gospel of the great lost artifact

Due to the fact Kurt could make no left turn, he had sealed his fate to wander the desert with Father Spork to their doom. For not making the left turn meant no left turn would be in their future, as they headed up Rusty Nail alone. Fumbling and struggling with the angry rocks, Low-Low was utilized at each rock, slowly pecking their way into more doom and perilous trail. The travels were troubling and worrisome for Father Spork, causing him great anguish and consternation. Their fate was sealed at the No Left Turn obstacle, they might die. Wandering the desert on foot, Kurt begged and pleaded to the bedouin SxS riders “Please spotteth me off the terrible rock” Reluctantly the bedouins gave bad advice and observed as Father Spork begged for mercy.

Still slowly making his way though the desert, thirsty, hot, lost and scared, Kurt pleaded with the Moab gods to deliver him from his situation. He continued to travel far. And farther. Then, upon the horizon came a knight, no a Saint. Sir Javier had rescued the vagabond Sporks, and was elevated to sainthood, St Javier. Father Spork, tired and thirsty, took the magic elixir offered by St Javier, taking several quick tugs from the magic Jack flask. St Javier then followed the Sporks, still using Low-Low at the request requirement of Father Spork, all the way to the edge of the desert

Glad to see everyone is have fun here.. i love that I made a story to tell...
Facts ...i do only have 83hp but am somehow extremely proud of that pile of parts I call a truck.. my dad was terrified after we made it up 3 of the 4 major obstacles on rusty nail. One obstacle was straight up... and i had to jump out throw some logs in the tire spin holes then climb up the cage to get back in the rig (So bad he shat somewhere in the desert)... i did feel lost not knowing how many obstacles were left on Rusty Nail or if it would lead us to where we needed to go. After the SXS guys told me that the trail led to golden spike and (no left turn) was the last major obstacle I was fine. I knew I could find my way from there. I even put it in my gps and was just following the blue line. I was extremely happy to see the ORD Convertible... because i knew that I could just follow him out (sorry Brandon I didn't know your name at the time) and the jack was welcome to help old dad out...(for that reason he was a saint) CK5 laugh all you want i had fun and really appreciated the no man left behind montra. (Even if he was driving a Toyota)

I thought that thing was softer sprung than that! Almost identical line I took the extended cab on 37s down
It's got Alcans and ORDs, I'm thinking next time about 11" to the right front might keep me from having to change my shorts. I'm not complaining, your spotting on Hells Gate made me look like the Greek God that I am.

It's all good Kurt, I do have to say the look of relief on your dads face was pretty epic, then when I stopped and said Hi guys you visibly relaxed. Glad I could help and I'm sorry you got bad directions on Rusty Nail, while none of the obstacles are truely hard, the mental aspect of the trail takes it's toll. Several of us have done it with out spotting each other but I agree with Bent, I think your the only guys I know of that have done it solo.

That Jeep trailer is cool.

Also, I don't see BB (bearded Brent) this year.
So just 1/3 Brent's this year. That's a low turn out :(

@Spork929 we have to give you some grief, Toyota or not

Can’t honestly say I know anyone else who has done Rusty Nail solo
@Spork929 It was all In good fun. I felt like we are all laughing with you. Thank you for helping create such a great story in an otherwise uneventful trail day. Though we all had a great time, it would have never been as memorable.
