I'm sure this info is on here somewhere but I'll just ask direct - I have a '72 Jimmy 4x4 with the original smallblock crossmember and mounts and a swapped in Big Block 454. Its hitting the firewall on the drivers side and I'm trying to figure out my best option. With an ORD crossmember, will it (or can it) drop the engine an inch or so down, or move the engine an inch or so forward? I'm looking at going the Big Hammer route, or the cutting and welding route, but if your crossmember would work instead of the smallblock crossmember and if I could then use your engine mounts or at least the later (like 75) engine mounts instead of the ones that are there now, that would be my preference.
Thanks for your help.
Eric

The cross members don't change the engine mounting location in any way.

The first gens used different motor mounts for BB and SB I thought.

YOu might give a call and talk with Stephen.
