BB\'03 Location POLL

I think its time to start planning on a location so we all can start making plans. There has been lots of good new location ideas if we feel we need to re-locate the next Blazer Bash. Here is whats been talked about so far, and a couple i threw in for good measure.

Moab just has soooo much to do. I remember Greg posting that he has been there once now, and still feels like he needs to see more.

Plus, Utah is pretty close for alot of people. I really thing that the DATE is just as important as the location. I know that July is hot as hell out there, but that is a month when the kidz are ouf of school, nothing really happening out in Moab, etc. that would make it a good idea.

As far as dates go, i would say the last week of June or First week of July. Or is the 4th of July a zoo out there??

me and my freinds go to moab every year for easter jeep and love and are plannig a trip in dec to go 4 the weekend not sure of the date.

I'm with Zakk on the dates. Yes, it's hot, but not unbearably so. Key for me is the "kids out of school" issue. If I have to take my son out of school again, it might be enough to make me pass on the whole thing (his grades don't need the competition! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif )

I have to agree with everyone else as to the date issue. Doesn't matter were you go, July is HOT!! Has the heat stopped you from wheelin' before? Me neither. I'm game for any one of the ideas, except Alaska.

Even though I am in Virginia I would have to vote for MOAB. As it has been said before the event started there and it should be held there at least for a few years. Then after a few years change the site clear across the country. keep doing this every three years changing the venue and soon everybody will have the chance to visit all the cool wheeling spots that they wouldn't be able to otherwise. I didn't make moab last year and probably won't be able to make any trip this year as the beast is in the prep room for surgery. But by having it in the same location for a few years can give people the opportunity to come to these sites. I probably can make a trip to moab, or california, or new mexico, or alaska, but it surely won't be an every year thing for me. a good week of wheeling with a bunch of k5 in different places is just the vacation i want

No one thought of Tellico? Moab may be close for you west coast guys... and you all had your fun last year. Now lets take it to the east coast! The ulimate wheeling place in the US is always being debated... and the two places most commonly mentioned? Tellico and Moab...
