Time to start thinking about trails, there are a few favorites that will need to be run, the rest are open for suggestion, all levels.

Saturday: Upper Helldorado
Sunday: Pritchett Canyon

How about a night run? It might be fun to run Poisen Spider Saturday night or something.

Anybody up for Cliffhanger (I missed out on that last year) or Moab Rim on Saturday? I haven't been on any of these (and I don't know whether Rim fits in the fullsize-on-35s-no-body-damage-category), so these are just suggestions for now. Need something for those of us who don't want to go to (let alone thru) Upper Hell /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif.

Since a lot of people look to arrive Thursday nite, how about Friday - maybe Steel Bender or something that brings us out in Spanish Valley right in time for the BBQ?

That might not be a bad idea.

Like always, we will have no body damage trails as well as the harder trails, this is everyones event so post up suggestions. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I thought you were going to hang around the Campground and brag? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

The Rusty Nail is boring. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

These guys tried thier butts off, but they couldnt quite get it to flip over. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Just Upper on Saturday? That's a pretty short trail. I'd be up for doing it at night.

I vote for Hell's revenge one day. There are varying levels on it.

We were stuck on Upper for probably 8 hours last year... Worst part was it started pouring at the last 2 hours... Still fun though /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re-read my post, where did I say that we were only doing Upper on Saturday?? /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I say we do an informal fri. run on hells revenge that way we are sure to be back for the bbq, we can always do more if time allows.
Sat. Morning hard trail is Pritchett in the daylight/
Upper heldorado in the evening/dark.
Easy trail would be goldbar rim or something like that.
Sun hard trail would be either proving grounds or rusty nail
Then I'm leaving Sun. night so I don't care what happens on Mon. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

I don't think rusty nail is that hard, just an easy place to die if you go over the edge. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I can understand the death thing with rusty nail. For some reason I thought I heard it was hard. I have never done it myself.

I have done it twice so far and there are two small climbs that are kind of hard/fun and that's about it really, the bad part is when you get tipped to the outside of a cliff, not hard just scary. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

[/ QUOTE ] Probably not a good one to run with my wife then /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

A must do on my list, since I haven't done it yet (except the Gold Bar part), is the Poison spider/Golden spike/Gold Bar combo. It will probably require an early start, but that's fine by me. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I would like to do Gold bar rim for sure. I did the first half of it last year in my stock k5. Got to the big drop ledge and had to leave my truck and hop in with someone else. This year I know I'll be able to run the whole thing so Brown Betty and myself would like the chance to take it this year.

Other than that I don't really know the trails all that well. If I get a locker in I would be down for something a little more challenging. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
