BB17 Carnage thread

your brake pedal get dirty too?

No. I wipe my boots off when I get in.

I was in the dunes making Mark crap his pants when the Jimmy just died. No fuel pump. Checked the wiring up front. No help. Pulled the spare tire out and removed the access panel for the gas tank. The plastic wire bulkhead was dislodged. No O ring and the wires were not making contact inside. Put it back together with some rags stacked on top to hold it in place. Did another jump just to prove it worked and hot footed it back to the highway.

Has metal putty holding it on now.

Good grief. Mark did not crap his pants.

At our lunch stop yesterday lost ignition and fuel pressure.
Turned out the fuel pump came off the sender so no fuel got up the lines.
The ignition was fixed by swapping in new distributor. We weren't getting any tach signal to the FiTech, checked for spark and got nothing.
Oreilly had a ready to run unit, dropped in and fired right up.

Does it work? Yes, Nothing to check then.[/QUOTE]
It's the second time I have hit it and with as much street as It sees it seems like a good idea.

Good job guys. Battle scars rule! Especially the ones that you look at when you get back to camp and say "when did that happen???"
