About Friday's trails:

Like the past 2 years, we will have an early check-in and small meet and greet at Old City Park. This year we're going to kick things off a bit earlier so we can hopefully avoid a crowd at the Hell's Revenge parking area and also get off the trail with a little more time to spare for the Offroad Design BBQ. Plan is to be heading for the trails at about 8AM.

Hell's Invasion: Moderately difficult Hell's Revenge trail https://www.rr4w.com/trail-details.cfm?trailid=11. It can be made more difficult or less depending on whether or not you choose to bypass the harder obstacles. We call this "Hell's Invasion" because we encourage everyone to run this trail and it's one of the "must-do" trails in Moab. It provides an opportunity for all levels of truck capability. The more built vehicles can attempt the challenges offered and those opting out of the obstacles can watch those that try them. It's also a good opportunity to scope out the candidates for the Jason Payne Memorial Trophy.

Steel Bender: this is the alternative for those that want to avoid the large Hell's Invasion group. The trail is moderate difficulty https://www.rr4w.com/trail-details.cfm?trailid=46. There is one spot that is as much of a mental challenge as it is a technical challenge, this obstacle is called "The Wall". The trail is located in a less frequented area on the south east side of Moab. It will be pretty convenient to the park for the morning meet and the Offroad Design BBQ later that evening.

Scott's big adventure?
More info to follow below.

Take it the Hells invasion is the Newby run this year again?
Not really going to do an official Newby run, but any that would normally fall into that category would be encouraged to sign up for Hell's Invasion.

About Saturday's trails:

Chicken Corners/Hurrah Pass is an easy trail https://www.rr4w.com/trail-details.cfm?trailid=6. This is a very scenic trail that follows the Colorado River canyon. There are not many challenges on this trail but if you are after beautiful awe-inspiring scenery this is it.

Flat Iron Mesa is moderate trail https://www.rr4w.com/trail-details.cfm?trailid=16. This trail is located on the south side of Moab. Obstacles like Tilt-A-Whirl and Easter Egg Hill gives this trail some challenging sections. It's not a trail many people think of, but it seems to be popular when offered.

Pritchett Canyon+Behind the Rocks is a very difficult trail for well equipped, experienced operators https://www.rr4w.com/trail-details.cfm?trailid=32 If you're planning to give this challenge a try, your vehicle must be equipped with a minimum of 36" tires, 2 lockers, and a winch. Plus your engine must be able to run at extreme angles. Behind the rocks trail is another difficult trail that can be used as an optional way back to the highway from the end of Pritchett Canyon by running it backwards https://www.rr4w.com/trail-details.cfm?trailid=13. White Knuckle Hill, High Dive, and Upchuck Hill are the more notorious named obstacles on this trail.

Scott's Big Adventure is something unique for 2017. This will be Nicole and I's last year organizing the event and likely the last time we can attend for a few years until we get our 2 sons thru school. I'm not going to reveal too much about what all this adventure will entail but I will say it will include 3 complete trails and touch on at least 2 others. I will reveal that I'm planning a run up to the Widow Maker on Metal Masher but not the entire trail. I've always wanted to see how the obstacle would go with the crew cab. The "Adventure" will be moderately difficult; a mildly built rig will do fine.

About Sunday's trails:

Crack 'n' Back is an idea first given to me by Stephen at Offroad Design. The run is mostly on Gold Bar Rim https://www.rr4w.com/trail-details.cfm?trailid=39. From the end of Gold Bar Rim, the journey continues onto the Golden Spike trail up to the infamous "Golden Crack". This provides a quicker route to everyone's favorite poser obstacle. Generally it's nice to run a shorter trail on Sundays because a few people are getting ready to head home and Gold Bar Rim is a good choice for this.

Moab Rim is a moderately difficult trail https://www.rr4w.com/trail-details.cfm?trailid=22. With obstacles like Z Turn and Devil's Crack there are plenty of challenges on this scenic trail. This is one of the last Moab trails I have not had an opportunity to drive so I had to make sure and fit it in for 2017.

@mrk5........where is Old City Park located on the map?

EDIT: Nevermind.....looks like it's off Old City Park Rd and S Murphy Ln. If not, just let me know. Setting up Vacation schedule today.

Thanks......that is what I found. Looking forward to the trip. It's only 13 hours from here but I know it will be well worth it.

Once the website is updated the SCHEDULE page will have links to the meeting locations on Google Maps.

12 hour drive says the googler, probably more like 14 towing.

Probably do Hell's Invasion Friday with the big group so I can run it with my buddy that's going too. Not sure about Saturday yet.
