Due to the number of rigs signed up for the Golden Spike run, I volunteered to help @Bent77 and @4door99 with it.
We've been talking about logistics and here's what we've come up with. The plan is to start out in one group with one of us in the lead, mid, and tail positions. With 3 of us we can help the group thru any spotting needs without holding up the front. If we end up with some serious trail repair need; we will split the group and those that can continue on will do so while the damaged rig is under going repairs with those that hang back to help. This will only happen if it's a serious repair need that's going to take hours to remedy.
We are not technically changing the 8AM start time, but we are changing the location. We will meet at the trail head. Plan to arrive there at about 7:30 because we will be rolling up the trail at 8AM. You need to come fueled up and ready to go.
Golden Spike is an endurance trail. Plan on a 9-10 hour day. There are plenty of challenging obstacles; if you get bored on this trail, you should have signed up for Pritchett.

- Absolutely fill up your gas tank; don't take a chance.
- Bring plenty of drinking water. It will be hot and there's not a lot of shelter.
